Pastor Nigel has served Calvary Alliance since July 2016. He was born and raised in North Wales in the United Kingdom. While serving on apprenticeship with the British Aerospace Company, Nigel was introduced to the game of basketball, and in 1975, he received a four year full ride scholarship to Rocky Mountain College in Billings, MT. He lettered all four years! He was the first Welshman in more than 20 years selected to tryout for Britain's 1980 Olympic Team. He has represented the Welsh under 19 basketball team and Welsh National Team and played in the English National League. Over the years, Nigel continued to be involved in coaching basketball from grade school through junior college.
While at Rocky Mountain College, he met and married Pauline who grew up in Missoula, MT. She is trained as a Registered Nurse and certified as a Faith Community Nurse. Pauline loves music and the outdoors. She participated in choir and orchestra and a traveling music group while at Rocky Mountain College. She is a prayer warrior, teacher, encourager, and mentor to many women.
Nigel and Pauline have four children - Dan, MaryAnn, Kathryn and Tom - and twelve grandchildren!
Nigel sensed the call to preach the gospel at an early age. He finally answered that call and was licensed as a pastor through the Christian & Missionary Alliance in 1996. He obtained his M.A. in Christian Ministry through Simpson University in Redding, CA in 1999. Prior to being called to Calvary Alliance, Nigel served churches in NW Montana, Colorado Springs, CO, and Missouri Valley, IA. He also served as an intentional interim pastor through Interim Pastor Ministries serving Cambridge Springs Alliance, PA and Ebenezer Faith Bible Church in Berwick, PA.
